"When a storm whisks DG away from her boring life as a waitress in the Midwest and dumps her in the Outer Zone, aka the O.Z., she discovers a completely different world run by the evil sorceress Azkadella (Kathleen Robertson). This O.Z. is not anything like the beautiful Land of Oz most people know. DG meets some strange characters who befriend her and tell her the story of how Azkadella is going to change the O.Z. forever and keep it in darkness. The only way to save it is for DG to find the one missing piece of Azkadella's horror machine, a hidden emerald.
